The Scarborough Shooting Stars are SSSERIOUS!
The Scarborough Shooting Stars continued their strong start to the 2026 CEBL season with a dominant 108-80 victory over the Ottawa BlackJacks on Friday Night in Scarborough at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre.

Scarborough controlled the game from the opening tip, building a seven-point lead after the first quarter before steadily pulling away in the 2nd half. The Shooting Stars outscored Ottawa in every quarter and exploded offensively in the second half, finishing with their highest point total of the season. Myles Powell aka Mr. Target Score put the finishing touches on the game swishing a deep 3 for the W.
The Shooting Stars were led by Akoi Yuot, who recorded a dominant double-double with 24 points and 10 rebounds while shooting efficiently from the field. Myles Powell added 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists, continuing his impressive campaign, while Frank Mitchell contributed 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists. Charles Bediako chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds as Scarborough showcased its depth throughout the lineup.
Scarborough's offense was firing on all cylinders, shooting 44 percent from the field and knocking down 10 three-pointers. The Shooting Stars also controlled the glass, outrebounding Ottawa 56-33, including a remarkable 23-rebound advantage that led to numerous second-chance opportunities.
Defensively, Scarborough put together one of its most complete performances of the season. Scarborough limited Ottawa to 38 percent shooting from the floor and just 25 percent from beyond the arc, while forcing difficult possessions throughout the night. Scarborough's ball movement was equally impressive, recording 23 assists and consistently finding the open man.
The victory moves the Shooting Stars to 9-1 on the season and further strengthens their position among the league's top teams. With balanced scoring, dominant rebounding, and continued chemistry on both ends of the floor, Scarborough continues to establish itself as one of the CEBL's early championship contenders.
Another packed crowd at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre was treated to a complete team performance as the Shooting Stars delivered one of their most convincing wins of the season.
The Scarborough Shooting Stars (9-1) look to pick up their 10th win of the season this Sunday versus Niagara River Lions (5-6). Tip-off is scheduled for 4pm.
